Ozant, Vera Arjoma, Parish and Sun Young Kang.
The name “Butterfly Effect”, as coined by American mathematician Edward Norton Lorenz; was derived from the theoretical example of a hurricane’s formation being contingent on whether or not a distant butterfly had flapped its wings several weeks earlier. Lorenz is known as a pioneer of chaos theory describing erratic behavior in nonlinear dynamic systems. The deterministic nature, meaning that their behavior is fully determined by their initial conditions, of these systems does not make them predictable. Lorenz explains chaos as ‘When the present determines the future, but the approximate present does not approximately determine the future.”
New Collectors Gallery is a fresh formation sprung from The New Collectors Book’s joyous accomplishments and follow up during its 3rd Edition. In addition to The New Collectors Book project, Basak Malone LLC has been eminent in consistently producing pop-up exhibitions and events at various locations in NYC. Butterfly Effect group show will take place at WN Gallery's front space.
